Facilities

In 1990, the Archives renovated space in the headquarters of its parent organization, Shambhala International. As part of the renovations, a low cost system for the control of temperature and humidity was installed. The physical facilities of the Archives include:

• A 400 square foot vault for the storage of archival material, which is kept at 35% humidity and 18 degrees C.
• A 400 square foot work room containing equipment for reformatting and recovery of various audio and video formats, as well as multi purpose work space.
• Two small administrative offices for the use of staff.
• A 600 square foot room containing the Labrang with controlled humidity and temperature
